Fall is here!
As I write, Fall will be official in just 3 days. It is beginning to feel like fall with those cooler evenings and mornings and blue blue skies. I love Fall only second to Spring.
I plan to plant some daffodil bulbs at the office and home along with some new shrubs at home. This is the best time of year for new plantings as well as fescue yards.
On another thought, here are a few helpful hints I have read about recently:
A cough is nature’s way of helping us loosen and get rid of mucous that is congesting our body but worst of all it can be a pain in the neck to sleep. A natural remedy to try is combining juice of half a lemon, 1/2 cup of honey and 1/4 cup of olive oil in small sauce pan. Cook for 5 minutes on medium high heat stirring constantly. Let cool slightly and then take 1 teaspoon every 2 hours especially before bed. If the cough becomes chronic or persistent, be sure to consult your physician.
Don’t you hate it when you get the hiccups especially at the wrong times like at church or a funeral. Here is what to try: hold your finger under your nose like it was a mustache. Press in with that finger hard for 30 seconds. In many cases your hiccups will be gone before you finish counting.
Have a crisp apple, walk under the gorgeously blue fall sky, kick a few leaves, cheer on your favorite football team. Make it a wonderful fall!
